Yet another in this series of music-themed digital sketch portraits, this time depicting one of my all-time favourite vocalists, Beth Gibbons of Portishead.
I love her haunting vocals, combined with the dark, hip-hop tinged soundscapes that make up the Portishead sound. All three albums are classics, worthy of listening to time and again, with something new to be found each time.
With this sketch I strayed from the straight ahead style of the others, and I'm not too sure how successful that's been. Again, I've kind of gotten carried away with the use of line, but it's a lot of fun. Like with the others, I can only hope I've done the subject some justice.
